As the country marked 33 years since the death of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, in Maralal there is an empty house that is full of Kenya's history. It is the house where Mzee Jomo Kenyatta spent the final moments of his detention before Kenya got its independence, and it is also where the deal to allow many of the white settlers to stay in Kenya was struck. And as NTV's John-Allan Namu found out, some observers say many of Kenya's land problems may have started in that very house, but it is also where Kenyatta penned his famous book, Facing Mount Kenya.

@siasabora some people fail to work hard, always wanting freebies and in the same time blaming Kenyatta on all their problems. even years after he is gone and left us. Remember his famous speech in Nyanza when he told Jaramongi to tell his people to work hard to stop kila wakati saying naomba serikali itusaidie.
