  • Beautiful, a song that gives me strengh when the movement seems to fall apart

  • That's a very different song also called Bread and Roses - also beautiful, from America - but this was written by Martin Whelan 10 years ago and he's Irish.

  • I heard that this song came out of the 1912 strike of the textile mills in NY that exploited the Italian and Portuguese women workers. So maybe Irish, too. But the song is American.
