Animated short by Winsor Mccay (born Zenas Winsor McKay disputedly in Canada 1867 or Salt Springs Michigan 1871). If anyone has tried to sleep with a mosquito in the room, you can surely relate.

Good, but why did alot of the parts have back and forth animation?

Hmmmm...good question. I see what you mean in that it appears the film is reeled backwards then forwards. This is especially noticeable when the man first lies down in the bed.

It's amazing to me that this film is 95 YEARS OLD and still incredibly funny. It goes to show that Windsor McKay is one of the pioneers of the art of animation! (He was a political cartoonist who experimented with animation I think). Thank you for posting this little gem for everyone to see and appreciate!!!

Truly one of the greatest draftsmen who ever lived. If he'd known about the principles of animation that Disney would perfect later on imagine how exponentially incredible animation would have been in his hands.

Then again that's a bit like wondering what Da Vinci could have done in the age of the automobile.
