President Bush was certainly able to play the part, but there's a difference between him and presidents like Eisenhower - Bush never served in the military. If he did, he'd understand what war is like, and might have been a little less eager to send troops into war.

Trash him any way you want, liberals, but he was the right man at the right time. I miss his steady hand as well, even though I disagreed with him at times.
History will be much kinder to Bush than it will be to Obama.
