Dont give up on her...my friend owns an "unridable horse" because he would throw EVERYONE off, broke 2 ppls backs incuding a trainer. to make a long story short after about 2 years of exhausting work is being ridden by me in barrels. Ex english Drassage horse and LOVES to run FAST. you just have to find that happy medium and Go FOR it and NEVER give up!! I have been riding him almost a year and he has NEVER done anything to hurt me. You have a very beautiful mare by the way!!

Thank you for your encouragement. Lately I've been ponying Alice from my old gelding that she likes and she has been enjoying our trail rides. I also have been giving her saddling practice. She is terrified of saddles so I've separated out the parts of saddling. I put a saddle pad on her and then just cinch a surcingle over the pad to help her learn to relax when getting cinched up. Then I just place a saddle on her back without cinching it and then remove it, over and over again.

Does she have the outlaw brand on her shoulder? Some of the best riding horses have come out of a string of bucking horses. but some of the best of the best western pleasure horses become bucking horse of the year for the IPRA

Her brand is on her left rear, from a ranch near Cuba, NM. My husband is determined to turn her into a riding horse. We own her now, that's what we get for falling in love with her when we boarded her. Anyhow, she really likes my husband, and is coming along slowly but steadily, so who knows?

She's a Spanish mustang. She looks much better now that she lives at our home and has been exercising by running with the rest of our herd. She' no longer tries to bite or kick, but we have a long way to go to teach her not to buck. We board her for her owner, trainer and farrier Dacodah Herkenhoff of San Acacia, NM. He's training our Paso Fino mare Pintura de Don Francisco, and stallion, Vikingo de Los Angeles, who also had been abused and traumatized. You can see them in my other videos.
