Alyson Roth was chosen to be a contestant on the "Price Is Right" despite the fact she uses a wheelchair. She was one of the few ever selected to be on the show and the first chosen for this season. The show was taped on March 30, 2009 and aired on April 13, 2009.
Did Alyson play a Pricing Game?

There are other clips up here that have wheelchair contestants. They have a ramp to get the wheelchair up on the stage or up on a platform (I think they stop tape and wheel the contestant around the back). There is a clip where a wheelchair guy played Switcheroo, and he got 45 sec. instead of 30 to play, and was allowed to tell the models where to place the blocks. It's wonderful that the show accommodates the handicapped. I care because my cousin and my brother both use wheelchairs.

I always wondered about this! I've ALWAYS wanted to be a contestant on The Price Is Right but I didn't think they would ever pick a person who uses a wheelchair! That's awesome! :0)
