And inspite of the fact that I'm almost dying of fright, I swallow the lump in my throat to ask, "W-who are y-you? Where am I?" There is no response. only silence. Now, I'm angry. "Why have you brought me here? The LEAST you could do is show yourself." I say, looking all around me. Looking for a face, a shape... ANYTHING!

Pt 2: Open my eyes? Is THAT what it will take to make this all go away? It's all just a dream, right? So... I will. Just to end this dream. I open my eyes, & I think my heart stops beating. Black. Everywhere I look is filled with darkness. I'm no longer in my warm bed. I'm no longer in the comfort of my own home. Heck, I don't even think I'm on EARTH, anymore.

I close my eyes tighter, hoping, praying that the voice will fade away into the night. It's futile, though. Because the voice continues to echo in the hollows of my mind. "Open your eyes, child."
