Sid was the bassist right? Also Sid was very hated by fellow band membersa when they learned he was beating and eventually killed his girlfriend Nancy.

"Sid wasn't that important. He was just a coat hanger." -Lydon

Lydon and Sid did not get along at all approaching his death in '78. Sid was clearly the frontman of the punk movement and Rotten was way to jealous. I find that quotes from Rotten to be too biased.

Rubbish. He was asked to leave because he wasn't getting along with Johnny. The fictitious Malcolm story is that he liked the Beatles.

I guess we could both read his book "I was a teenage sex pistol" and find out the story straight from one of the sources. Both Malcolm and Glen have said in interviews since that the real reason for his departure was personality conflicts between him and Johnny.
