Great review You nailed it on this one. Use the CCI/Mini Mag or better Yet CCI/Stingers. I like this Little gun its great for packing but don't use cheap

ammo.

Uh, believe me, you DO NOT want to get hit center mass with a .22 LR.

Read up on .22 ammo ballistics, the results will surprise you. A .22 LR delivers the same penetration as a +P 9mm (12-16 inches) and hits with roughly the same foot pounds as a .380 acp. Because of it's tendency to fragment, a hollowpoint .22 can do just as much internal damage as a .45 hollowpoint. Besides, for personal defense, I'll take the .22 I can draw from a pocket over the .45 I leave at home.

I just bought this gun a few weeks ago. Mine had the same on the problems with the standard velocity rounds. With CCI Mini Mags and Stingers I had no problems at all.

Great review, the Beretta Bobcat and it's very accurate to be so small, the perfect pocket pistol..I love this little gun. I totally agree on the ammo, stick with the CCI Stingers or Velocitors with the heavier bullet. This gun runs smooth as butter on the Stingers, Mini-Mags, and Velocitors. A note to the naysayers on using a .22 for self-defense, if anyone has doubts on what a .22 can do, watch the video of Reagan getting shot with a .22 and see how quickly the Secret Service Agent went down.

GREAT vid. Very informative. Ive been looking for a compact pistol that fires the 22lr and i think the bobcat is the 1 im going to go with.

1 question though, have you ever fired subsonics through it and if so, does it have problems ejecting the spent rounds?

The best rifle ive found so far for subsonics is the Ruger 10/22 as it ejects the casings with no problems so long as i keep it cleaned and oiled properly.

I need a pistol that will be reliable with the subsonic rounds and i have yet to

My god. I hope no one carries this gun for self defense. Without an extractor, I would never trust my life to this gun.

I picked up one of these the other day and finally got a chance to run just over 200 rounds at the range today. I did buy some extra magazines through Beretta although I did have a little bit of trouble and I think that I've gotten it down to one of the new mags not feeding properly. I bought a little bit of different ammo to use and mostly everything I ran through it did fine, had some firing and extracting issues but mostly feeding problems but wasn't manufacturer dependent.

Excellent video review! I have a Jimenez Arms JA-22 pocket pistol and I can tell you from experience that I have never had a problem with it when using CCI Mini-Mag Solids and HPs. Happy Holidays!

@riitaalin i usuallty like stingers in small semi-autos too but i found they may be a bit too much for my little gun. the cci mini mag did just fine though.

CCI minni mags rock! I use the non-hollow points, they never jam... Ever!
