I do deem that an inspirational, if not unachievable set of characteristics on my part Steve. I feel even less confident about growing a freaky moustache, it has been a stain on my virility for years. I suppose actions speak louder than words though, so, to that end, I hope to honour the dales this week with what you would consider a ''stroll'' up 2 of the three peaks. Lack of childcare and daylight preclude me from attempting all three, though I hope to document the walk with a slideshow! :-)

Although vowed to a life of monastic silence, apart from live transmissions from the hills, tiger2995's comments stimulate me to give an appropriate response. It is true that I'm mean and moody, and I rarely sweat on the climbs. I would like to think that this is an inspirational set of characteristics but this alone is not enough. Tiger, you'll need also to get a moustache!

Oooops! Hope he doesn't challenge me to a walk to get his own back! Though New Zealand is a long way......

Tiger, I have sent him your coments in the hope he might reply personally. Look out!!

You're having a laugh with us aren't you Steve! Look at the video's at the end of the walk, he's barely broke a sweat and isn't even out of breath! A scarey man indeed.
Steve looks mean, moody and magnificent....what a freaky moustache. There's no stopping this walking machine today.

He's still leading the way up the mountains, now in his late 50's and showing the younger generation how to do it. Awesome walking machine is an appropriate description.

He looks a true walking type of guy - did he complete the walk?
