  • In our small Aussie town of Kilmore which was devastated by fires on Black Saturday 2009 we're fortunate to have a resident artist who teaches people of all ages. Her gentle style and buoyant spirit was great help to many after that terrible time. Last week I presented her with the "big book" First Ed. of Rockwell's work. She had never heard of the man, but was in awe and deeply moved by the endlessly nourishing spirit contained within his work.

We are made bigger than we were - thanks Norman

  • thank you...............

  • I was once in a coffee shop in Lyme Regis, Dorset, England when I came across a small book with Norman Rockwell paintings in it. It was so beautiful and awesome. My two daughters went to New York and brought back a gigantic book of most of his works. It is one of my most prized possessions and when I'm feeling blue I just have to open the book and my spirits are uplifted. He really was a genius.

  • As a Canadian born in Québec and speaking French fluently I adore your father's works. It remembers me of my early youth. What a great museum I plan to visit it.

  • Amazing Man! people don't understand how lucky we were to have had Him.

  • Never thought about it like that, but he was a gift from God. His paintings are like a window into America's past. I about fell over when I saw the kitchen table I grew up with (in the fifties) in one of his paintings!

  • nobody could capture expressions and emotions like Rockwell. He's the one i look up to most as an artist. There's something so human and beautiful about every one of his pictures. America's greatest artist. I dont care for JFK though, nor his portrait, though it is an amazing likeness! That's Rockwell for you!

  • I AM NOT american....i live here in the u.s and what not but everytime i see ANY of his portraits..i feel so american...i want to be IN his portraits and i want that feeling inside my heart forever...

  • a gift from god dude.
