On Friday May 2 the Obama campaign held a free get out the vote event called Change Rocks. On this day it was held in Carrboro, NC, a small town just west of Chapel Hill. The outdoor rock concert featured local indie rock band Superchunk and the hotness of the moment Arcade Fire. It was unseasonably warm and several thousand people showed up for this free event to rock out and vote.

I think its dumb why people think Obama or Bush or any of them suck just because its them. Doesnt anyone remember we live in a democratic nation and there a shit ton of other people then Obama or Bush or any of them that also fuck up the government? Its impossible for it to be just a presidents fault for something bad or good happening in the government because our government doesnt work that way. Jesus christ guys you just hate people because other people do.

I would say that a great band like Superchunk is overdue for some love, and if political brownnosing is how they have to get it, well so be it. But then what would be The Rolling Stones' excuse?

he doesn't need to stay in power, his legacy will take decades to erase, if that is at all possible. for one, we are stuck with the cluster-fuck that is Iraq, and whoever takes over will have to do the dirty, and unpopular work of cleaning that up.
