  • Like many of you, I first discovered Michael Haydn's symphonies while searching for brother Joseph's but I have come to appreciate his distinctive talent. Robbins Landon's book even suggests Michael got recognition faster in the 1750s. Bohdan Walchal and Slovak Chamber Orchestra have made outstanding performances of twenty of 41 symphonies currently credited to Michael, and Johannes Goritzky has added four more. Michael is especially good on church and vocal music, he taught Mozart in Salzburg.

  • Poor ole Mikey... why are all these jokers annoyed? Looking for FJ and getting JM Haydn is like asking for a Wii for Christmas, but getting a 360 instead. Awesomes
