I WAS THERE - A Tribute
A Spoken Word Poem by Quincy LeNear
I WAS THERE was written and dedicated to ending bullying and discrimination due to perceived and actual sexual orientation. In 2010 over 10 youth took their lives as a result of being taunted or falsely labeled as being same gender loving, not to mention a countless number of hate crimes and homicides against LGBT individuals.
If you KNOW, LOVE, RESPECT, and CARE about someone who is GAY don't be silent about it. Speak against hatred. Use your straight voice to defend the people you care about.

This isn't about political stances or religious beliefs but is a plea for LIFE and LOVE. This is a HUMAN life issue.
Silence is part of the problem.
