  • No, not that we've been able to detect.

  • Is this required for all press fit wrist pins?

  • Pretty much, it's this or use a press. This causes less stress to the piston, pin, and rod.

  • thats why you should buy bronze bushed rods a floating pins there more durable can handle more revs and is better all around

  • @k0ent being allowed to air quench, rod will not become brittle. If this were oil or water quenched, then this would likely be an issue. Air quenching like this actually takes out internal stresses from the manu. process.
