@tomaspeverell Definitely talking about the movie. I loved the book.

@ElvenInk What are you talking about? If you're talking about the movie, then you're right. But the book did have a plot. And an incredible one too. But it seems that it was too hard for Steve Kloves to translate all that into a movie. Pity.

Just wondering, why do you think SPEW wouldn't have worked? I don't really mind what they did with GoF since it wasn't my favorite book and they didn't take out crucial plot points, but just wondering why you think SPEW wouldn't work.

Columbus actually stuck to the books, so this person has a point.
I personally think Alfonso Cuaron was the best. He didn't stick as closely to the book as Columbus, but what he added actually added something to the movie and he didn't take away any crucial plot points.

@ellelovesyouloljk I said there was no (meaning not enough) _emphasis_ on the HBP. This is in contrast to the book(s), where we got to find out many details about his life, his Hogwarts days, his parents, etc. They did indeed include them "wondering" about the half blood prince for a few seconds, but this is not nearly the amount of time that plotline deserved compared to the fluff they wasted time on in the movie. No clue what you mean by "they all are formed in the same since".

@ElvenInk are you kidding? the half blood prince, harry had his book. Ginny and Hermione at least wondered who that was and they focused on Malfoy being a death eater. It all comes together in the end when Malfoy is about to kill Dumbledore and Snape kills him revealing that he is the half blood prince. They all are formed in the same since.

The third film managed to capture the feel of Hogwarts and magic as well as plot, it was the best IMO.
Every movie since lost the feel and depth as well as beauty that is Hogwarts. If you watch the third you can "feel" Hogwarts in a way that is only surpassed by the books. Sad we never will again.
Alfonso was the best.
I loved the third movie, but even if you put everything else aside: the third movie still had a plot. This one didn't. It was actually clear why the third movie was called "HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban" whereas in this one there was like no emphasis on the Half Blood Prince. So yeah, I think the main reason people are so angry is that there was no real plot to this. As for being the longest---nope that was book 5.
