This song is so f'n raw. I love the early 00's feel to it! I am going to see them in Boston in 10 days at the House of Blues. Flying there from TX. I had to save up for 3 months to buy the plane ticket and hotel but it is so worth it. These guys were my best friends when I became a single father last year. I found them on Letterman when they played Fake Empire and fell in love with them. They are so American. Like Whitman and Kerouac and Hemingway.

love this song/video so much that it makes me wish The National's newer stuff was more raw. those are some despair and agony filled screams at the end... gave me goosebumps.
