Riding along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, North Bend, WA. This trail is about 5 blocks from my house.
Encounter with elk:
There are 2 herds of elk who call this valley home. The cow elk in this video has a problem with her left front foot. I called the Dept of Wildlife and they said as long as it's mobile, they'll give her a chance to survive in the wild; otherwise they have to destroy the animal.

I used to walk my dog down that trail. my house was just up cedar falls rd and the elk trail went right through our yard.

It's a great trail. Those elk are multiplying like crazy; to the point that there's now an Elk Commission to see how we can reduce the population of them in a sane way :)
