  • hey can you help me have the same pc with xp, but can not not restore the system, and have no idea how to format. wen i bay the pc, it just came with a CD driver no more what can I do.and the manual is not english

    plz help me

  • @itkurdpro Get a usb cd drive and a Windows 7 dvd. Install Windows. After installation, connect the netbook on ethernet. Run software updates. Drivers for wifi should be available. Or use the cd drivers.

  • disregard my last statement, I see that the wifi needs to be changed, so I will also order the new wifi card too.

  • @adonian , not all clones can take OS X. There are many such machines with varying hardware. You'd want one with the N280 Atom and Intel GMA 950 graphics. The netbook I worked on had Phoenix Technologies BIOS. This too is a factor. We had a 12" clone that wouldn't take OS X.

  • @dpat09, you have enabled Friend Lock. I couldn't reply.

  • There is no MacBook clone yet. I've seen a MacBook Pro clone on the web. Aluminum with modern specs. 14" model. Article said they will come out with a 12" model. Checkout shanzai dot com.

  • electronic-earth. com

has the macbook air clone for a cheap price

  • runs the imovie? who version the 08 or 11?

  • cool!

  • HOW is this done??

  • sounds like its going to explode

  • @piratesmvp oh ok (: sorry i miss understood.. i'm quite happy that apple doesn't make cheaper versions of the MacBooks though.. apple's high quality products are what make them special

  • @SavannahWeaversMusic You obviously don't get the point. I'm not comparing this netbook to a Macbook. I'm saying that this hackintosh shows promise and that it IS possible to run OSX on a "$500 laptop". If it can run this well on a netbook, this thing could certainly run much better with an i3 processor, or even a Pentium. Apple has just chosen not to make any cheaper models. It has nothing to do with OSX; it's their decision to maintain an elite status.

  • @SavannahWeaversMusic

1 - Of course it doesn't, but you could cut the trackpad to make a cheaper model.

2 - Sure it won't be quiet as a Macbook pro, but that's the give and take.

3 - Apple hasn't tweaked OSX to run on an Atom processor. If they did, it'd boot much faster.

4 - Not the real OSX? You don't know what you're talking about. This IS the real OSX. This guy used a modified bootloader to make OSX run on the netbook. It can't get Windows viruses.

5 - Apple could design it better.

  • @piratesmvp oh and it doesn't have the glossy screen and it probably won't get os X updates..
