a track taken from Manilla Road's newest album "Playground of the Damned" (2011) this is one of my favorite tracks from the album. if you like this song buy the album. Support the Steel! Lyrics -

Hear the thunder and the roar of the crowd each night
Drawing Magik from the soul
In the circle of friends the lightning strikes
Into the labyrinth we shall go

WE SHALL EMERGE FROM THE FLAMES!!

In the padded chamber of the lab
Built upon our blood and bones
We have sacrificed upon the slab
Opened gates to the unknown

WE SHALL EMERGE FROM THE FLAMES!!

We have come to the negative veils
To wield the steel refrain
In the chambers the Old Ones are hailed
The slaughterhouse of pain

Death can be the life of thee

Rise above the flames

From the taste of the blood in my mouth
I know that I am evil
Dark the deeds we have done in this house
L'abattoir de Mort

Death can be the life of thee

Rise above the flames!!

In this grindhouse of slaughter and sound
We reach the glory's light
Spill the blood upon Crom's holy mound
Spin the tale of honor's fight

You can see the majesty

Look inside the flames

Morbid dreams mystic tomes of the gods
The muses are to blame
In the quest for the chord that was lost
One tends to go insane

KILL US AND WE'LL RISE AGAIN
OUT OF THE HELL WHENCE WE CAME
WE SHALL EMERGE FROM THE FLAMES!

From the taste of the blood in my mouth
I know that I am evil
Dark the deeds we have done in this house
L'abattoir de Mort

  • The music is amazing but the production is rubbish, even on a decent hi-fi it sounds like notebook speakers

  • the riff that starts at 3:15 sounds very reminiscent of early rush.

  • @HASHEAVEN on my labtec 5.1 pc sound system it's awesome. love this rehersal feeling :)

  • @HASHEAVEN I listened to Manilla Road's 'The Deluge', 'Open the Gates' and 'Voyager' albums and they all sound the same dull. But strangely Voyager has damn clear acoustic guitars sound!

  • @TheThrashZone yeah only problem with the vinyl is that its not portable

  • @DrunkStudios actually this is a very high quality upload took directly from a CD. but yeah the vinyl sounds way better.

  • @HASHEAVEN its just a terrible upload. The vinyl sound fine

  • what the hey is up with those drums, they sound completely terrible

  • @Arjozof That's just your opinion bro, I actually think the way these drums sound is perfectly fine, as quirky as it may be.

  • Rotfl'n'Lol

  • @TheThrashZone you completely misinterpret what I wrote. I've been a Manilla fan for years, but I only argue that their sound on the last 3 albums is inferior to Atlantis Rising for example, because Mark keeps on doing the engineering his own way, and it just doesn't sound ok sound-wise. Music is of course top notch, the last album is probably the greatest of all after the reunion - and it would really benefit from a bit more proper engineering. It ain't rocket science, for gods' sake
