Let me make this clear. The people who say ACTA is not as bad as it seems are paid to say that because they are being bribed to throw us off from catching on to what ACTA is really going to do. They are puppets. I know every dirty trick that has to do with bribes, lies, coverups, etc. between politics and corporations. No one can resist the temptation of greed. Once copyright holders get greedy, ACTA WILL BE ABUSED. If we Americans do lose internet rights, America will become one giant sellout!

Interesting discussion, however - read the document, section 27
Copyright infringement is something very common on the internet and in practice there were charges demanding some 1200€ for 1 song (done in Germany for years) as it includes costs for lawyers, and ACTA enables this to be done worldwide
End users need to be protected by making it so the actual damage done must be multiple times more than the costs for the lawyer otherwise this this totally gets out of hand

Candace (and her corporate handlers) speaks of companies "losing" money when in reality it allows companies to steal money from others by claiming such money was theirs to begin with. ACTA/SOPA/PIPA are just symptoms, corporate-sponsored copyright is the disease.
