@snotzboy The Ottoman Empire was an Caliphate (Islamic state) that had a strong Islamic government operated by Islamic law. It's success speaks for itself (1299-1923)--624 years. The United States probably won't last that long. The Jews who were constantly persecuted by the Christians would feel to the OE during the Inquisitions, Crusades, as well as under the rule of King Ferdinad & Queen Isabella where eveyone there, including the muslims of Spain, were forced to accept Christianity.
