The Dream Theater drummer is indeed Mike Mangini (and I couldn't be happier)...however, watching John Petrucci narrow down the candidates to two, combined with a previous announcement from one of those two that he wasn't the guy, made it easy to tell who got the job well over four minutes before it was announced in The Spirit Carries On episode 3. Hitler is NOT happy about this.

"The fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright." I believe this to fall under that category, as it is slightly between satire and parody, and has been uploaded merely for use within this game's community. Constantin Films may contact me at their leisure if they have a problem.

  • Mangini is Italian so the drummer's spot is in the hands of Axis after all :-)

  • @BTG80PA: He is of Italian descent but was born in Massachusetts.

  • HAHA Awesome !!!

Honestly I'm pretty content with this guy.

I don't know anything about him beyond the audition, but from all the candidates he fits DT the best.

The young drummer in the end, I don't remember his name, was great too, but wayyyy less serious. It just doesn't fit their deep songs. Mangini is a great drummer, but moreover he looks quite serious. Although I don't see anyone who can feet them better than Mike :((((

I hope Mike will see Mangini playing his stuff and come back :D

  • @shlomiya He can, and he did. Mangini is showman too, check out his widely talked about drum solo with Steve Vai on Youtube. He plays drum solos for a living, with people coming to watch him, just him. That background and his new bigger than life four Bass drum drum kit (Yes, he uses them all...) will make a great show. Don´t get stuck in the old, Portnoy left of his own will, time for him - and you - to turn a page.
