AppleTV 2 - Where to Find iPSW 8F305 And How to Process Step By Step

Since Been asked over and over what should i do, Apple Official Website removed the 4.2.2 a.k.a 4.3 8F305 file and i found from another location and now Apple Server is not allowing me to Authorize and use this file, and is my Apple TV 2 bricked or Dead What should i do Please Help!....

Answer: No your AppleTV 2 is All Good Just follow my Video Here is What you need to Process

1. AppleTV 2
2. Mini-USB 5Pin: $5 to $10
3. Windows XP or higher And MAC OSX or higher
4. iTunes 10.X
5. TinyUmbrella 5.0 http://xctechs.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7
6. Seas0nPass http://xctechs.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3
7. iPSW 4.2.2 a.k.a 8F305 backup http://xctechs.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2


Now you need to place the iPSW to this folder

MAC OS: Places // (user) // Library // itunes // Apple TV software Updates //

Windows : C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Seas0nPass\Downloads

Then launch your Seas0nPass Click on ( Create iPSW )
and while its running open up TinyUmbrella and Click on ( Run TSS Server )

On Mac it should take care of the rest,
On Windows Onces the Seas0nPass Creates the File it will tell you to Place the AppleTV 2 to DFU mode after that you open the iTunes and process file, make sure you open TinyUmbrella first click on Run TSS Server Then Open your iTunes and Press Shift and Open Folder find your iPSW created by Seas0nPass then process file uploading to AppleTV 2

Hey man i just wanna begin by saying thanks and good job with all your uploads. they've been very informative. I am having one issue with this jailbreak procedure. I did everything the video stated but when using Seas0nPass to create the IPSW from the one i downloaded using your link, it creates one and gets stuck on the unzipping process. I even put the new one in (C:\Users\Silva\MyDocuments\Se­as0nPass\Downloads) but Seas0nPass doesn't use it, what am I doing wrong? I'm on 4.2.1 if that matters

@CvBoyO7 you need to get the 4.2.2 and and not 4.2.1 that is old and Apple Server wont allow you to use that package so go to 4.2.2 8F305 and try

@xctechs that's exactly what im doing, i downloaded the last link on the site i was given by your description. my current firmware is 4.2.1 when i checked on the appleTV itself. I downloaded

OK, I did everything you said. Made the IPSW with seas0npass went into DFU mode. Turned on Tiny Umbrella, but I keep getting message The Apple TV cannot be restored . An unknown error occurred (1600). I am using a mac, and this is a very new ATV2. Any ideas?

Nevermind! I got it. Apple's servers came back online and kicked it out of DFU mode, allowing me to following your PERFECT working instructions.
