Ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones should be brought to every protest from now on. Here is another idea have 100's and 100's of protesters each bring their own bullhorns and power them all up at once and give the sound cannon guys a dose of their own medicine. Hundreds of bullhorns all in unison would be much louder then that LRAD. So ear plug up and let the bullhorns roar baby! Oooooh Yeah.

sound weapons are easy... use earplugs. but they will damage birds and stuff like that.
