In part 6 of 11, Gary Morton talks about life with Lucille Ball and tells a story about his neighbor, Jimmy Stewart. Desi Arnaz, Jr. talks about *not* being Little Ricky. More to the point, she and Desi spoke on the phone at least once a week until the day he died, and she always turned to him for career advice. Two days before he died, daughter Lucie held the phone to her father's ear as her mother told him over and over "I love you." Poor Gary had to spend his entire marriage to Lucy dealing with Lucy's continuing love for Desi. She more than once referred to Desi as the love of her life.

I agree, I think Gary took good care of her and really loved her and protected her. I don't understand why people dislike him so. It is not like he went after her and broke up her and Desi's marriage. After what Desi put her through, she needed a safe haven like Gary.
