For a sublime audio/visual experience, I highly recommend selecting to watch in 480p and wearing headphones!

CAST:

Toph - Merryfeather
Katara - Ckat13
Sokka - RoninRaccoon
Momo - Himself/RoninRaccoon

The sound effects for this scene come from a mixture of creative commons, the original source, and effects created specially for this project by your truly. Momo's voice comes directly from the original source except for when he gags in disgust; that's me! The drumming in the beginning is an excerpt from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon while the rest of the music in the scene was replicated and performed by me on my keyboard. The song in the credits is from the end credits of the show.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang, Momo, Toph, Katara, and Sokka are all registered trademarks of Nickelodeon. No profit was made from the production or exhibition of this project. It is simply for the enjoyment of its fans and creators.

  • Which episode is this?

  • @sonicdragonmolly It's called The Desert, I think. It's from Book 2: Earth.

  • omg i love voice acting! this is soo cool! i've always wanted to one of these, but don't have the recording systems to do so >.< this is reaaally good :3

  • @DONTMAKEMEBITEYOUU You really just need a decent mic, a basic recording program (mine was $30, and there are some decent ones for free), and a quiet room. And the decency to apologize to any family or housemates if yelling is involved!

  • What program did you use to make an instrumental scene? It´s a very good

quality in the backgroundsound and in your voices. And great acting:)

  • @5869Beccy I used WavePad for the voice recording, and I built up the background track from scratch. All of the music (and most of the sounds) I either grabbed from sound libraries or made myself with my keyboard, then I mixed it all in Movie Maker. For instance, the crazy siren when Sokka starts to hallucinate was me playing a synthesizer on my keyboard and bending the pitch up and down. It was difficult to put all the sound and music together and make it cohesive, but it worked in the end!
