Why do the democrats always demonize wealth

Democrats: good slogans, bad ideas. How is the money to be spent? Who decides which alternative fuels are most efficient and deserve the most money? Who are the scientists who will work on it?

Because these are complicated issues, we cannot just jump willy nilly into government-cheese just because it feels good. There is no better innovater than the free market, and no better stagnater than centralized planning. Remember it.

Just remember that the state and federal taxes on a gallon of gas is about 7 times the profit that the oil company makes.

The oil company makes about 7 cents profit on a gallon of gas.

State and federal taxes combined average 48 cents per gallon.

So I ask you who is the one that is profiting from "big oil"?

Who is the one raking in the cash generated by the hard work and investment of private industry?

I want to take those profits? That is one of the sickest statements I have ever heard. Imagine if you had a small business, even a lemonade stand that made a whole lotta money. Then, a politician said I want to take your profits and do something else with it. I am no fan of big oil but when somebody says, I want to take... Now that is scary.

WTF?????? clinton's idea: "lets take money from a business BECAUSE they worked hard and earned it. i DONT CARE how much you disagree with the 15 billion in profits while we pay 3.50 a gallon at the pump... that idea is called COMMUNISM. spreading around the wealth when no one earned it but the company.

People need to understand that the owners of a corporation are the SHAREHOLDERS. If you own stocks or mutual funds containing these companies then you are part of the corporation that she is criticizing. She wants to take money from millions of ordinary citizens from around the world just to get herself into office.
