Congrats on hitting two years. Your hair has grown nicely and it looks full, thick and healthy. I wish you the best as you continue on this road. Stay encouraged and ROCK IT!
@kgraves022 Thanks for the encouragement! I'm kind of on a mission to "prove" that someone who has never had really long hair CAN grow long hair if she wants to.
@ProudMomof4kids Here's my take on heat: It CAN cause damage to our hair if done excessively. Not long ago I was relaxed and curled my hair every morning before work. My hair stayed just above armpit length even with me not treating it very well. An occasional flat iron won't do terrible damage if moderate heat is used. I've done it now 3 times since becoming natural, and no damage thus far.
It looks really good! Do you trim your ends yourself or do you go get it trimmed by a professional? I like the layered look you have in the front. I hope you reach your goal next year :)
@NaturallyMeLittlet I do everything myself. My hair looks layered because I have not "cut" my hair since my big chop, when I cut it the same length all over. So all of my hair should technically be the same length, with the front and crown hair appearing shorter than the back hair. Thanks for the encouragement! I believe OUR hair can grow to amazing lengths.

Thank you, I'm 18 months natural and I'm dying to straighten my hair but I'm a chicken.
