This is a newest version of the E-SKY BIG Lama Separate Canopy/Tail Boom Mod. We used the Lama 400D RED Canopy and added the metal tail struts and horizontal fin to the tail boom mod for added support. We also used Extended Blades which are longer by 1/2 inch (~5mm) longer per blade. This gives more lift on the same amount of throttle and added the Metal Rotors with the E-Treme 15mm Shaft Extension to avoid most Blade Strikes. Used with the Twin Brushless Mod, it makes the E-SKY BIG Lama a blinged out Co-axial Helicopter.

Hi I just wanted to give some feedback on upgrading LAMAS(1) Dont make em spit! just kidding
The 400 D does not matter what you do it stays a verry dosile creature hard to get FFF becouse
you can not change the servo arms,even with full extent there is not enough travel.Nice for
wind free days,scale flying.
Esky big lama MD 500,change the servo arms max length ,swap to BB motors,Extended shaft and extreme blades.The best is to rip off the body and use a Belt Cp canopy and make
a light tail FFF!

where did you get the extended shaft?

@elandresito The Extended shaft is made by X-treme Inc. We like this extended shaft as it is very strong at the top which has been a weak point for many users. Other extended shafts have weak tops. The X-treme is very well built and that's why we carry it. Goto: RTF-HELI.COM and look under the E-SKY BIG Lama Menu.

@jasmimy1 The separate cnaopy and tail mod is nice as you can get into the insides of the helicopter very quickly. Fixing the blades and the main motors are very easy.

@jasmimy1 No, this is an E-SKY Co-axial Helicopter. We don't use the Lama 400D.
