02/09/11 - This is the scene set at Storms End in George R.R. Martins novel "A Clash of Kings" where Melisandre and Davos on a boat (Unconfirmed). Filmed at Cushendun Beach/caves in Northern Ireland.

I tried getting around to the caves but security wouldn't let us so let me know in the comments if you think this is the scene involving Melisandre and Davos!

Can't say anything else as it will involve spoilers.

I was a quarter of a mile away when recording this so sorry if it is difficult to see!

Recorded with a Panasonic TZ7

  • @balaalalaslk of course she has to have an accent she comes from all the fuckin way from Asshai (which if I am not mistaken is in the complete apposite end from westeros)

  • @hameed I agree... the least magic and prophecies involved, the better

  • @hameed A large number of force of Highgarden, Storm's end and Dragonstone will perish if Stannis and Renly meet head on, which would likely result in Stannis being defeated, giving the advantage to the Iron Throne and the King in the North. Stannis didn't expect the Tyrells of Highgarden to join up with the Iron Throne later on, of course.

  • can't wait to see how they portray Melisandre one of Favorite characters, if she will have an accent, or how she moves and her facial expressions. I just want to skip ahead to April already

  • @hameed I found it quite a great way to solve it. GRRM always plays with the notion of magic, but barely uses it.

  • @matenizer I didn't care for what renly did, but the way in which their conflict was resolved was very cheap

  • @hameed Renly had it coming. Defying Stannis is stupid to begin with.

  • @AcidRooster Hopefully not the same way as it was told in the book. That whole section of the book starting with Renly's tent really made me hate GRRM. Deus Ex Machina to the max

  • @hameed im extremely curious as to how they plan to enact this scene

  • looks like davos is doing something
