at the end, you can see Neo's silhouette in the sun. Why is this? because he didn't die. He surrender himself to Smith(his ego), that's the ultimate level of conciousness and acceptance, to stop fihting. In reload when he's fighting the Smiths, it's like fighting your mind, meditate is not stoping your mind, that will lead you to be priosioner of other thoughts. Meditate is to see, just see, and then you just have to accept. He didn't die, he became the matrix, total oneness

He whooped the programs asses left and right. I think depending on him wasn't all that bad an idea. The resistance was fighting yes. But Morpheus said "We have survived by running and by hiding. They [The agents] are guarding all the doors and holding all the keys. Sooner or later one of us is going to have to fight them." Hope made them fight harder, not softer.
