  • Do only x-corps members have the reaction to these sounds as I or are there others out there that get it - but never experienced it? I still believe its impossible to understand unless you have been there, but the roll of emotion that still goes through me 10 years later is something I simply can not compare to anything else. Drum Corps and my marching snare will run through my veins for life, I'm sure of it.

  • @MKEGuy80 You definitely have to be there to appreciate it, but I don't think it matters how much experience the spectator has. That would only change the spectator knowing how talented that group is.

  • What campus were you guys at here?

  • @EpicTrumpeteer University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

  • It always sounds better when you're closer to the low brass.

  • Bad pitch from baritones yay!

  • @MKEGuy80 I do believe you can appreciate it never having experienced being part of it, especially other types of musicians like string or wind instrument players, HOWEVER; I honestly feel that only those who have had the experience can be so emotionally moved by the subtleties of Drum Corps. One thing I know for sure, is only those who've done this know The LOT feeling, of the final warm up in full dress. The pump and flow of emotion that runs through every part of your body.

  • @MKEGuy80 never marched for a corps, joined the military after high school. This stuff always gives me the warm fuzzies.

  • @DrumCorpsTube haha I went to a band camp there every summer in high school. It was a beautiful campus.

  • Check out ..Agnus Dai (Adagio) by Dale Warland Singers...a vocal version...Cadets are in the same ball park!

  • Adagio...for me..is the healing theme of the Vietman War...(Platoon) the wounds heal a little every time I hear this played. The Cadets play this so powerfully and beautiful. Thank You

  • Some of us spectator do get it. Not the same way as you on the field. I saw your show in June 2011 and I was totally into it. Get a bit coked up listening and watching the amazing things I am hearing and seeing. I am a musician too which helps the understanding of it.

  • @doublel7714 they always ripple up and down!

  • A couple baritones are a bit flat but overall this gave me what i needed.

  • does that kid riding by on his bike even know what he's missing?!!

  • Would have been better not to be so close to the baritones. Not very good intonation there. Overall beautiful sound though!!
