Lord Bicester shows examples of his art, which is available for sale in York, England. The first ever video of the great man.
Angus Edward Vivian Smith, 3rd Baron Bicester, is in all the reference books (Debrett's, Burke's, and so on) and is reputedly the current Duke of Clarence, as well as (he alleges) the last surviving biological child of King George V of England. He it was who persuaded The Official Monster Raving Loony Party to change their name to The Integrity Party of England. Philanthropist, financier, raconteur, artist and connoisseur of horseflesh, Lord Bicester lives in retirement in York, England, but welcomes correspondence and sales of his art.

  • I would love to go to a dinner party with Lord Bicester and the Marquis of Bath.

  • @alexander4488 can you please translate your posting to English so it can be understoond Educated people do not speak slang or eubonics

  • I met the lord in Yorkminster in 2002. I obtained one of his works, a charcoal sketch. Despite my best efforts, the delicate nature of the paper, and the raw charcoal, the work isn't in prime condition, but I still have it.

I do have a brief video of him displaying some his works. I will find the tape and post it. He was a gracious gentleman. I am glad to have made his acquaintance.

  • Cheers. Ill set about post haste with my quill and get something sent off to him!!!

  • I think he mentions the address in the vid, but it's a bit unclear....but I remember it well...123, York Road, Haxby :)

  • I met this gentleman some 14 years ago at "The Retreat" hospital in York when I had to visit as part of the NHS Pension Scheme. I found him delightful, I had my meeting and when I came out of the room he was waiting and gave me a charcoal drawing. I have sadly lost this. Could you please help me in finding out where I could buy some of his work from. This woud be great.

  • I met him on a bus in York a few years ago...he gave me a few pieces of new work free of charge!! The paint was still slightly wet. I've got them somewhere in my old college folder. Saw him a few weeks later chasin' after a bus, pretty sprightlyly too!
