Camelot is perharps neither in Ireland nor in England, but in France. There is a village named Camelin near Soissons, where the first kings of France used to live at the time of Clovis and the followings kings of the dynastie of the Merovingians. In this village, there are very ofld things like a catle hill (earth which is higher as the rest of the country around, and where castle were built on old celt defend hills at the time as the Franks came to France; And also an old menhir ..

@dominiquedv -I believe that very thing. It is most logical that Camelot was in Gaul after the Roman Empire fell. The nobility and the wealth of Rome went North...and out of the dark times came the status quo control of the people. Rome maintained the one institution that held all the nobles together, and the people under its control; a Religion.

However as always, the nobles continued to battle with each other for the wealth, power and control. WW1 was the end of the wars between the nobles.

@dominiquedv (following) The old menhir of Camelin has a Christian cross sculpted at the top of it was usually made as the population of a celtic country was converted to Christianism. France was also a celtic country before the romans and the francs (francians) came. Now I must say, I'm fond of celtic music like this one; I think it is the music I prefer above all others.
