K 2 EMF meter modified with an on/off switch and beeper. This is the original audio modification to the K IIs. Updates have been made that allows you to use the meter with just the LEDs in original mode, or LEDs and audio alert with just one switch. The switch is centrally located on top of the meter to allow for easy use with either the right or left hand.

  • @GHOSTOFTN I'm not sure if you could attach an extendable to one of these. I thing the antenna is a part of the circuit board. Yes, you can get the beeper circuit board from me. I made a bunch of them and have a few left.

  • @cincyghosthunter I was also curious if an extendable ant. probe could be fabricated into the k2s main circuit board or if you'd have to make a circuit board for that also. And the circuit board for the beeper. Is that something I could get from you?

  • @GHOSTOFTN

I designed a small printed circuit board for this mod, I don't drive anything directly off of the LEDs because it would make the LED driving the beeper dimmer than the rest of them. You would have to install the P.C. Board to get it to work.

  • Hello can you post an instructional video on how to do this mod because it would be very helpful instead of staring at the LED's all night.

  • No, I designed a tiny circuit board that fits into the K 2, the parts go one one side, the beeper on the other side. Then you pick which LED you want to trigger the beeper, solder the power, ground and signal wires( to the IC chip) for the proper LED and there you have it. I discovered that a mini speaker would generate it's own EMF and keep the meter falsing and going off so I used a special piezo beeper that emits no EMF. You can't drive the beeper directly because it would make the LED dim.

  • how did you add the beeper? did you attach a mini speaker to each one of the led's?
