I once flew with an ultra-religious captain who became deeply offended when I suggested that animals were capable of emotion.
This flick should send shake the core of his twisted logic: our 3 month old Havanese, Havana, is upset because she was left behind during the work week (she holds court in my wife's title company and law offices); worse yet, I put her to bed in her crate for an hour while I went to work out!
The face says it all!
To anyone who can't say there is a rich vein of emotion in these amazing creatures, even at a young age, I'd express pity and suggest that in another life they might've been herding people off boxcars, or leading intellectuals to fields outside of town...
Thanks! So true. Years ago, I worked with a gentleman who was deeply offended when I suggested that my dog experienced emotion (apparently that runs contrary to some extremist religious teachings).
Such mindless dogma has stuck with me as the modern equivalent of purifying "witches" with fire...

this video is all too adorable and true. My Yorkshire terrier whimpers when we leave it in the backyard and when we come back. that itself personifies the emotion of sadness. the dogs tail wagging exemplifies happiness. who could possibly say they didnt have emotion!
