This was taken during a camp out/party we were having, that is what is in the bottom right of the video. I started the animation just as the sun had set, the result is a gentle fade into the darkness with the stars lighting the sky.
Each image was exposed for 30 seconds at f3.4 with a total of about 150 making up the entire clip. It took about 1 hour 30 mins to shoot all of these images.
Enjoy and please comment.

  • I didn't actually use a remote or release, I set my camera to the continuous shoot mode so that after a photo was taken, it would take another as long as the shutter button was pressed. So to keep the button held down I used an elastic band and a bit of blue tac, and i think it did the job just fine :D

  • hi, what exposure did u have this set on? and can you tell me how you created the video please, thank you

  • nice video...what software did you use to put this together

  • this is great, i'd like to try this but my camera doesn't have a cable release or a remote for that matter. Do you think i would get equal results without them?
