The man was a murderer who perpetrated an act of terror on a US military base.  He is NOT a good guy and can't possible be construed as such unless you're ok with murdering unarmed people!! I used to be an ardent democrat. I am still an atheist, I still oppose the war on drugs and I still say leave the gays alone. All the same though, I have given up on those wimps. I'll vote Republican if it looks like they have a chance of carrying New York, otherwise, I'll go third party. My friends ask how I managed that? I say it's still better to have a balanced budget, a higher birthrate and a secure border. Hell, a good chess player knows which pieces to sacrifice and when.

Yeah those damn liberal dont know how to run a country!! I mean look at the liberal countries in the world....Say Iceland, they actually have education for all, no poverty, barely any crime, whole country runs on renewable energy, high standard of living, high quality of life. @lambchowder2 No, I support freedom and peace for all people to live and worship as they see fit. Find me in orthodox Islam where that's permitted. I'm fully aware that most Muslims just want to live in peace, but the minority of them who are extremists need to be wiped out. As do all religious extremists who would be willing to further their agenda with violence.

Basically Savage (serious or not) believes you have to fight a war to its conclusion, and this is best done by indiscriminate bombing and boots on the ground shooting up buildings, torturing people for being 'suspicious, killing peoples children and mothers, and this exhaustive effort has to cut a swathe across every middle east country until all the baddies are dead. How could that produce more anti Americanism? And I'm the mentally ill one? paranoid schizophrenics barking at shadows

Lets see, Michael Savage (who is pretty widely agreed to be just a sensationalist like Ann Coulter and not believe the stuff he writes/broadcasts, but I digress) says im mentally ill because I don't want to fight a fake monolith of people who want to do x scary thing. I have met Muslims who never so much as spit on me, yet I read these comments and theres more hate then I've experienced in years personally. US conservatism can't exist without a bogeyman enemy.
