I was so angry when i read it on the front cover of a metal mag that Phil had overdosed and nearly lost his life to Heroin, Pantera was my whole world when i was growing up i was obsessed with their music, Dime was my idol and Phils raw vocals/ lyrics were untouchable in the 90s and every album that followed got heavier and faster it was a very exciting time just waiting for what was going to come next from Pantera. Long live Pantera the kings of the Power Groove - Rest In Peace Darrell Abbott.

Been there man wake up with 10 bags and shit to do!Horrible way to have spent more than 10 yrs of my life!Thank god I made it thru....Overdoses ,robberies and just personal turmoil! Phil goes into blasts of regret man was he spot on ....If your any kind of decent human,You dont like or want to live like this but its got you! SO glad to see a man give his perspective soo similar to mine...From a 13 bag a day habit to clean took 3 yrs of methadone but never the less im 9 years clean!

Heroin is fucking awesome. Or people wouldn't do it.  If there's anything better, God kept it for herself.

@tehrapeyturtle yea and by the way don't switch to suboxone unless you wanna deal with a withdrawal 10x worse than vics. Way way worse. Some think its just below methadone, and above heroin. But yea vics are hard to stop too. Any opiate or opiod is. But please just stick it out and it gets better. Suboxone will only prolong the misery and add to it way more. And suboxone is way stronger than vicodin, like 10x.
