RAIL ROAD CROSSINGS AT MINEHEAD ON THE WSR

There was a strong wind blowing and the road traffic noise was high when it flowed, but I think there is sufficient interest in the train movements around lunchtime on the Saturday of the Gala on 3 October 2009 to make it worthwhile uploading this video!

@pollyb02 The video was taken at a Gala where several non local locomotives were visiting. The first loco we see is a Black BR Prairie visitor and i believe it is numbered 5221. Following that, we see a double headed train with WSR local locos GWR 5553 and 5542. Then fly bys by some of the aforementioned locos.

It was just luck i suppose! There isnt much you can do with modern camcorders to stop wind noise. My original in the 1980s had an external mic and i eventually devised quite an effective wind sock for that one. But video quality then was much inferior!
