Dolan finishes second in category at Ironman Austria. Liam Dolan finished a remarkable second in his category at Ironman Austria on 6 July.

Dolans time or 9:02:48 was also good enough to break the Irish Ironman record and to place him in 25th overall out of 2,500 starters and ahead of a host of professionals. He was the sixth amateur home. In addition, Dolan, who is a member of Setanta tri club, has now qualified for the world championships at the spiritual home of triathlons in Kona Hawaii. This takes place on 10 October 2009.
