Made some "natural" Heineken® Beer soap and some traditional old fashioned lard and lye soap....the soap your grandparents used. ;-)
I made some improvements to the mold, I was able to make 2 soap block cavities even though it hadn't occurred to me that it was long enough to make 2 blocks of soap at the same time. :)
beer is also good for your hair I make my own hairsparay with beer

can you substitute any liquid for water when adding lye. Is the fluid oz amount still the same even if it is beer or coke or milk or whatever?

hello
1. you can substitute liquids for water but you need to be careful for liquids like milk because of the sugar content. It can "burn" if you don't cool it effectively. I have read others that use tea without a problem.
2. always measure in weight not in fluid oz, weigh everything.

can melt and pour soaps be made in this kind of mold?

You know I've never tried M&P but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You'd still have the freezer paper to keep easily detach the soap from the mold.
