Day 1: Sexual Harassment on Cross Assault

Cross Assault is a live reality TV show about an upcoming video game, Street Fighter x Tekken, streamed online for a shot at $25,000 produced by Capcom, IPlayWinner.com, and TeamSpooky. The contestants are various members of the fighting game community and are on site at Capcom USA HQ in California and split between Team Street Fighter of Capcom streamed by TeamSpooky and Team Tekken of Namco streamed by IPlayWinner.com. Each team has a coach to the contestants, and Team Tekken is coached by Aris, the voice of much of the sexual harassment. Super_Yan is a contestant that receives the bulk of the sexual harassment. This is just part of Day 1 of the week long event.

Not trying to steal anything, but to just put this out there for people to see so they don't have to sift through the archives. Okay man, let me try a different tact because a lot of this is getting lost in translation between either sides of our arguments.

In a nutshell, what you are advocating is that you would be HAPPY for your mother or your daughter, or your sister, or your female friends to be harrassed/bullied. And if they are, it's their own fault for wanting to game.

Now if you can honestly say that, then I guess our conversation is done. Because I can't even view you as a man, let alone someone with a point.

So now it comes to the old argument "if it's not happening to anyone I care about, I don't care.". I really shouldn't need to point out how short sighted your logic is but "first they came.." sums it up nicely. As for the standards, they're just a minimum. I don't promote group think, but we're not talking about that here, we're talking about something as simple as treating others fairly and with dignity. It's practically a human fucking right.

Maybe they mistook the advice of those sleazy PUA/seduction websites. They've got to learn that the DOA girls won't get angry because they're not real.

I've had years of counselling and to this day, my trust issues won't go away. Bullying is absolutely horrific, and for you to be so insensitive and nonchalant about it; offering greatly unhelpful advice is a huge insult to those that are stuck in their ruts.

Bullies like to knock people down. The more you try to get back up, the harder they want to kick you back down again. Being bullied can easily swallow you into what feels like an abyss with no hopes of ever getting back out.

As a person who experienced bullying, tried everything I could to get out of that "abyss" and finally did near the end of high school, really, fuck you...

If bullying was something that could be "merely ignored", why do so many kids- proven multiple times in studies over the decade- become depressed, turn to substance abuse or commit suicide?
