LYRICS/TRANSLATION further down the description!

I discovered that the Village Bridge area in Pokemon Black/White (it's a post-game area you can't access before defeating the Elite Four) has a unique property - the music has layers that can be enabled or disabled by talking to particular people. Also one of the layers is vocal. This video shows the people you talk to and has a few minutes of the song.

Note: Having started the English version now, I see that many (if not all) towns have musicians that can add their parts to the town theme; Village Bridge is thus unique for having a vocal track.

Song Title: Tasogare Oyaji / Geezer in the Dusk
Title & Lyrics from: http://www.animelyrics.com/game/pokemonbw/tasogareoyaji.htm

(4x) ore wa ne kamome ni horeta tasogare oyaji / I... am a geezer standing in the dusk, mesmerized by the gulls.

aoi umi o nagamete wa naki / Gazing fixedly into the sapphire sea, I bemoan with shed tears,
aoi minato wa kamome koishikute / as I yearn for the lovely gulls soaring above the blue harbor.

  • What say the singer?

  • @95wiiz Did you not see the "LYRICS/TRANSLATION further down the description!" which is the only visible part of the description before expanding it?

  • Huh, anyone notice the Sapphire reference in the translation? Surely I'm not the only one?

  • @ilovesquids92 That's just flowery language on the translator's part. The word is "aoi" with is generally just "blue". You can see it again in the following line where it's just translated as blue.

  • @m2pt5 The vocal song sounds so beautiful in a way... Oh yeah I just accessed that area today afternoon and in the early evening happened to find your vid because I was thinking so much bout' Black and White ^-^ How did you manage to get your footage recorded?

  • @ShikimiBlossomz15 With an emulator.

  • Best. Game. Ever.

  • Better show up in the anime. Atleast some value in watching it....

  • When I first heard this song on Pokemon Black... that's when I decided Pokemon was the best video game series ever.

  • I fell asleep listening so peaceful

  • the singer sounds kinda like male miku > <

  • You forgot the harmonica guy.

  • I was kind of frightened whenever this song played. I've never seen a Pokemon game put vocals in their music.

  • I Find This Creepy But Cool AT the Same Time

  • @xxjaviedxx it isnt an old song...

  • i could imagine... i young asian kid playing pokemon with his elderly grandparent in the same room, with the music on high, then the grandparent tearing up with a smile on his face to hear such an old song.
