The above video shows a 10" Fike Isolation Valve in action. You are looking down a pipe into a test vessel where we have inititated a deflagration. Full closure is accomplished in less than 5 milliseconds per inch of valve diameter, for the purpose of blocking flame propagation to interconnected process areas.
