This video is a walk through tutorial displaying how to sample using Apple Logic Pro 9 and Native Instruments Maschine. In this video, I will take you through the process of setting up the Logic Pro 9 Channel Strip to route audio to Maschine. Further more this video will show you how to configure Maschine to receive audio signal from any active Bus or Audio track in Logic Pro. We will sample a Logic Pro's EVP88 in order to demonstrate a creative application of this configuration. I hope this video helps you better understand the possibilities of Maschine.

  • does that work for reason?

  • @goodtimezproductionz It wont work this way for reason since reason does not allow for routing to VST/AU instruments directly. You would need to use something like soundflower to make it happen.

  • @Altruwest what is soundflower? it basically allows you to use VST's with reason? does it work with windows?

  • @RuelzRekka Soundflower is basically just a program that allows you to send audio from one application to another. It doesn't really have anything to do with VSTs. There's no windows version currently, but my guess would be that there is a similar product available for Windows.

  • You can do the same with live, right?

  • @EddyKnucks in Ableton you can do something similar, Ski Beatz has a tutorial on this on his youtube
