In another video that you guys did for the sedan wrx, you showed that you have to cut the factory carpet in order to be able to access the spare. This video for the wrx hatch does not show that nor do you say that in the video. Can you still access the spare after installing the enclosure or do you still have to cut the factory carpet underneath the enclosure to get to the spare?

@wutdadilyo The sedans actually have a trunk mat which we show can be cut but it doesn't actually have to be to access the spare, cutting it does make it a lot easier though.

The 08+ Impreza Hatch doesn't have a carpet mat but instead has a carpeted plastic trunk panel/false floor. It's all one piece but has 3-4 hinge/fold lines that allow it to bend and be taken out of the car to access the spare.

Once fully installed you can still lift the false floor at a 45 degree angle and access the spare tire, the floor does not need to be cut or fully removed to get at your spare.

I'm trying to find a decent enclosure for my 2012, but covering the only source of light in the back is simply unacceptable. If you make one that fits on the passenger side, sign me up, otherwise I'll keep looking.

@Audiointegrations I understand, I actually bought this for my 06 STI used and it is indeed VERY well constructed. Great product but, I still wouldn't pay full price ;)

@joker927 We use Cascade Audio sound dampening products, the enclosure bolts in securely, so it doesn't rattle between itself and the plastic of the car. The car itself may have rattles here and there, and you may have to single them out as to where they're coming from. As you can see from the post below, it looks like the spoiler is rattling on that car. There are a ton of choices for dampening, I woudl suggest browsing a forum or two to see what people are happy with.

What does Audio Integrations recommend in terms of materials and location for sound dampening around this area?
