How to make a Cat5E cable.

Fast Ethernet and Gigabit computer networks require Enhanced Category 5 high-speed cabling to distribute data, voice and video. Cables4sure Enhanced Cat5 350Mhz Snag less Patch Cables are always extremely High quality. These CAT5e cables will handle bandwidth intensive applications up to 350 Mhz and beyond. Each CAT5e cable comes UL verified to meet all Cat 5e cables TIA/EIA standards, and drastically reduce both impedance and structural return loss (SRL) as compared to standard 100 Mhz CAT5 cable. Constructed with high-quality wire and a shortened body plug will keep Near-end Cross talk (NEXT) levels to a minimum. The molded, snag-free boot prevents unwanted cable snags during installation and provides extra strain-relief. Cables4sure 350 MHz Snag less CAT5e patch cables are available in a variety of colors to easily color-code your network installation.

  • So you don't have to keep watching the video... brown brown w/stripe green blue w/stripe blue Green Stripe Orange Orange stripe this is assuming that you are using cate5e 058-b cable. This is left to right with the connector UPSIDE DOWN. Reverse the order if your looking RIGHT SIDE UP.
  • is there any way to do this without a crimping tool?

  • slided?

  • @Ashly2135 to save money.. to use better parts... to make the cable the exact length you need.. but most people are lazy like you and just buy cheap stuff, then complain later

  • very dangerous...."(:

  • whats thepoint... u can just buy one

  • Am I the only one here who sees how strained the jacket is after the crimping?

  • @MurkyMists No. this is RJ-45, you're talking about an entirely differnt style of connector. Unless you mean a phone-jack, which is RJ-11.

  • and remember to always order the colors from left to right or your color code order will be backwards. :)

  • There is also type A which is: stripe-green, green, stripe-orange, blue, stripe-blue, orange, stripe-brown, brown. also if you make Type A on one side and type B on the other you get crossover cable which will also work in certain situations.

  • This is cat5e typeB color code.

  • @Trusten1984 for people in the field, you have to make your own cables.
