    I think I've seen a few of these guys out in El Mirage.

    I'm not really up on t's, but they looked like the one in the video.

  • @heloderm310 If you mean El Mirage Lake in San Bernardino County, it was probably a real tarantula, haha. I don't know if Calisoga spiders (which are close relatives of tarantulas, but in a different family) reach all the way down there, they tend to be restricted to moister areas. I've found them to be much more defensive than tarantulas when disturbed, readily doing their threat display and attempting to bite. The true tarantulas are usually more docile.

    Yep, El Mirage dry lake, gah, I miss Cali now. Every time I was out there I'd see something. Whatever it was I found, it was big and.. black. lol Pretty docile, was fine being placed on my hat for a picture.
